Renuka Shahane and Gajraj Rao’s web series Dupahiya has been met with enthusiastic reviews and is expected to perform well in terms of viewership in the coming days. With a similar charm to Panchayat, it has already surpassed Paatal Lok season 2 in its initial response.
Gajraj Rao Captivates Audiences
Gajraj Rao is captivating audiences with two outstanding web series. His recent role in Dabba Cartel on Netflix has resonated with viewers, reaching 1.8 million in its opening week, as per Netflix’s figures.
Dupahiya OTT Performance
Dupahiya launched on Prime Video on March 7 and quickly gained traction. For the week of March 3-9, 2025, it secured around 2 million views in its first week, surpassing Paatal Lok, which earned 1.4 million views during its debut week, by 28%
Where Dupahiya Stands?
Though the web series, penned by Chirag Garg and Avinash Dwivedi, commences with a modest reception, it will be interesting to observe its long-term performance on Prime Video. There’s no doubt that the series is excellent, at times matching the quality of Panchayat.
Jitendra Kumar’s web series saw 7.3 million views in its 2nd season debut and an impressive 12 million views in season 3’s first week, based on Ormax data.
While Dupahiya has yet to reach the above numbers, it is positioned to surpass Paatal Lok season 2’s viewership, having already outpaced Jaideep Ahlawat’s series in its debut week. All eyes are now on its second week!
