After Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai awarded the highest civilian award, a filmmaker has filed a complaint against him and four others in Mumbai.

In regards to the alleged copyright infringement of a Bollywood movie titled ‘Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewana Tha’, filmmaker Suneel Darshan has lodged a complaint against Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai and 5 others.

In his complaint, the filmmaker stated that his film is currently running on YouTube and getting millions of views without seeing its copyright to anyone.

Suneel Darshan is the producer and director of a 2017 released film ‘Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewana Tha. The film starred Upen Patel, Natasha Fernandez and Shiv Darshan in their lead roles.

This is what Mr Darshan originally wrote in his complaint, “I hold Sundar Pichai responsible since he represents Google. I have tracked over 1 billion views of my ‘Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewana Tha’ have been recorded. No action has been taken despite this concern being raised with the company,” he stated.

Others names included in the complaint are Gautam Anand ( head of YouTube), Joe Grier- Grievance officer along with four other employees of the tech giant.

Sundar Pichai is recently awarded as India’s third-highest civilian award Padma Bhushan.
