Indian OTT platform Zee5’s Zindagi looks all set to release on television screens from Monday onward.
The TV channel is expected to kick off the Pakistani drama Zindagi Gulzar Hai starring Sanam Saeed and Fawad Khan as their first show.
The show will be available as a Direct to Home offering and will be shown as a value added service on various DTH platforms.
In addition to this, the channel is expected to air some other shows like Sadqay Tumhare (2014), a show starring Farhan Ally Agha, Qavi Khan, Samiya Mumtaz, Adnan Malik, and Mahira Khan.
Shailja Kejriwal, who’s the CEO of Zee Special Projects stated that they feel it to be a proud moment as the show is being launched with such an excitement. This is what she further said, “What started as a salient idea between a few people deeply invested in the belief of cross border cultural collaborations grew to become one of the most loved television channels in the country,” she said.
This is what she added to her previous statement, “Zindagi took its journey ahead on OTT feelling the digital consumption needs in the country, and the community of believers continued to grow. Today, we add new partners, new believers in Tata Play, Dish TV and D2H, as we take Zindagi to every corner of the country,” she said.
Please note that Zindagi Gulzar Hai is basically a 2012 show starring Khan and Saeed in their pivotal roles. The show revolves around their lives and show how their lives are balanced with all the highs and lows in their lives.
The couple seems to build romance which is divided by issues like class differences and gender dynamics.
Zindagi’s lineup includes Zindagi Originals Mrs & Mr Shameem that will star Naumaan Ijaz and Saba Qamar in their respective pivotal roles. Apart from this, they are also expected to star Amit Sadh and Taapsee Pannu in their lead roles.
