White House Set to Screen the Mexican American Sports Drama ‘The Long Game’

Following a remarkable partnership with the renowned Hispanic Heritage Foundation, White House will shortly screen a Mexican American sports drama “The Long Game”. The screening is scheduled on April 9, 2024.

 

 

After the historic collaboration with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation, “The Long Game” which is going to be one of the most aspiring Mexican sports drama will be screened in White House today. However, the film will be released on April 12, 2024 (3 days after the screening).

The reason why the special screening has been scheduled is mainly to showcase the very inspiring journey of resilience in the movie. There are a plethora of scenes captured to showcase the taste of Mexican American triumph and heritage.

 

White House Set to Screen the Mexican American Sports Drama ‘The Long Game’

The Long Game” is based on true story taken from the famous book “Mustang Miracle” by Humberto G. Garcia. Well, there must be something in the film to watch as the special screening has been organized.

The film basically narrates the true incidence of 5 young Mexican caddies who have to face so many challenges to build their own golf course in South Texas.

To their name, they have achieved recognition in a golf championship organized by the State High School in 1957. This is where they showed their resilience and determination.

After they got all the support from White House while screening the film, the team simply thrilled.

This is what Antonio Tijerino, president and CEO of the Hispanic Heritage Foundation quoted to Variety, “We are thrilled to have got all the support for screening ‘The Long Game’. We are also grateful to them to show our American stories to the American audience.”

“The Long Game” stars Julian Works, Cheech Marin, and Jay Hernandez in their respective pivotal roles.
