It all happened when Gomez shared a heartfelt video on Instagram Tuesday morning, visibly emotional as she spoke about the deportations carried out by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
In an emotional Instagram video, Gomez said, “I just want to apologize. My people are being attacked, especially the children. I don’t understand it. I wish I could do more, but I can’t. I promise I’ll try everything I can.”
Following a strong wave of backlash, Gomez took down the video. She later addressed the criticism with the message, “Apparently, it’s not okay to show empathy for others.”
Among the many upset reactions aimed at Gomez, Parker accused her of having an “entitlement attitude toward America” due to her Mexican heritage.
On another platform, he posted, “Selena Gomez prioritized illegals over America because she’s the third-generation descendant of Mexican immigrants who gained citizenship under the ’87 Amnesty. Maybe she should be deported as well?”
He simply followed up with a tweet on his X account, saying, “Deport Selena Gomez.” Selena responded on her Stories with, “Oh Mr. Parker. Mr. Parker. Appreciate the laugh along with the threat.”
