Top Gun Maverick Box Office: The Tom Cruise starrer has surpassed the 1997 released Titanic.
To be precise, the film has broken yet another record. Without any doubt, the film has become a mega hit and crossed a number of milestones after its release date on May 27,2022.
Although, the film has just seen 3 weeks at the box office, it has produced some great numbers. And the best part is that it continues to maintain the same pace.
On June 27, 2022, a month after the film actually hit screen, the sequel to the 1986 released film has crossed the whopping $ 1 billion mark. Well, this is something huge for both the makers and the entire star cast.
As per the report submitted by Box Office Mojo, Tom Cruise starrer has registered $1.189 billion at the box office worldwide. The figure comprises $601 million in the US market and $587 million in the overseas market.
With the above figures, experts feel that Joseph Kosinski’s action thriller happens to be the Paramount’s highest-grossing movie of all time domestically in its 110-year history.
On the other hand, the domestic run of Titanic (1997) was almost $600 million. And the original collection was later reported to be around $600 million. At this time, the 1997 released film has become the 3rd highest grosser globally.
Top Gun Maverick has also done a great hard work in spite of several challenges it faced in the form of some big releases. The latest one is like Elvis, Jurassic World Dominion, Thor: Love and Thunder, and more.
After the successful run time of Tom Cruise’s Top Gun Maverick, fans might have been looking forward to watch his upcoming films like Mission Impossible 7 and 8.
