A week has passed since the release of Salman Khan’s highly anticipated film Sikandar, and the response has been less than favorable.
Rather than standing by the actor’s recent cinematic decisions, many of his loyal fans have openly expressed disappointment—both with Sikandar and with the direction his recent film choices have taken.
Determined to be heard, fans started several trending hashtags on X (formerly Twitter), aiming to get Salman Khan’s attention.
Their persistence paid off when, on April 5, the actor became aware of their sentiments and arranged a meeting, giving a select group of fans a chance to meet him in person.

As per a source from Bollywood Hungama, the meeting saw the presence of Salman Khan, his manager Jordy Patel, business head Vikram Tanwar, and a group of fans.
The fans didn’t hold back in expressing their dissatisfaction with Sikandar and some of his recent projects, stating they fell short of expectations.
They also highlighted the trends they created on X, explaining that their continuous efforts come from a place of genuine concern and admiration, hoping he opts for better scripts moving forward.
The insider went on to say, “Salman was deeply affected by the fans’ heartfelt concern. He acknowledged that he had doubts about Sikandar from the very beginning and felt it didn’t shape up to be the kind of large-scale film it was meant to be. He reassured the fans, however, that he’s now committed to selecting projects that will truly excite and satisfy them.”
The source continued, “Fans urged Salman Khan to collaborate again with trusted filmmakers like Kabir Khan and Ali Abbas Zafar, who have a proven track record of delivering blockbusters with him and share strong rapport.
They also suggested appointing a dedicated liaison, someone who can serve as a reliable link between Salman and his fanbase, similar to the role Pooja Dadlani plays for Shah Rukh Khan, to ensure that feedback from admirers reaches him and his messages are relayed back to the audience.
The insider concluded, “Salman Khan assured everyone that he would reflect on all the suggestions shared. The hour-long interaction was truly rare—few stars of his calibre take the time to personally connect with fans and acknowledge their concerns.
