Rasika Dugal starrer Little Thomas selected as closing film at New York Indian Film Festival

NY Indian Film Festival Wraps Up With Rasika Dugal’s Little Thomas

Helmed by Kaushal Oza, Little Thomas unfolds as a subtle, character-centric story set in Goa, with Rasika Dugal’s performance bringing a fresh layer to her ever-expanding body of work.

This is what Rasika shared, “Little Thomas happens to be a gentle, poetic tale capturing the everyday life of a Goan family and the quiet chaos that comes with it. Through my character, Jessie Miranda, I had the opportunity to delve into her world and her deep connection with music.”

She further expressed, “What I loved about the script was its gentle humor, it made the experience all the more enjoyable. I’m genuinely excited that Little Thomas is the closing film at the New York Indian Film Festival.

The audiences there are very perceptive, and their feedback means a lot. I also find it deeply touching to see how the Indian diaspora connects with stories from home,  it’s a powerful and emotional experience every time.”

Spanning various genres and storytelling formats, Rasika Dugal has carved out a career rooted in a deep grasp of character.

Whether it’s the vulnerability she portrayed in Manto, the quiet resilience of Beena Tripathi in Mirzapur, or the controlled intensity in Delhi Crime, she consistently delivers performances rich in depth and subtlety.
