Ne Zha 2 is on track to overtake Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ worldwide total tonight. The Chinese blockbuster earned $2 million on Tuesday, marking the biggest sixth Tuesday performance in a single market, with a 41.2% drop from the previous week. This also wraps up the film’s impressive 6th week at the Chinese box office.

Ne Zha 2 Worldwide Box Office: In just 42 days, the Ne Zha sequel has grossed over $2.03 billion in China. This past weekend, the film earned $715K across 945 theaters in the United States, bringing its North American total to $19.36 million. Globally, the film has reached a remarkable $2.07 billion at the box office.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens earned $936.66 million domestically and $1.13 billion internationally, bringing its worldwide total to $2.071 billion, securing its position as the fifth highest-grossing film globally.
Following its triumph over Avengers: Infinity War, Ne Zha 2 is set to overtake the Star Wars movie tonight, rising to fifth place in the all-time global box office rankings. Additionally, the sequel has accumulated $322K.
The animated film is currently screening in over 136,000 theatres, a slight decrease of 1,000 from the previous day.
With its upcoming release in several European countries, the movie is poised to challenge the positions of the top three highest-grossing films globally, potentially putting up tough competition for them.
