In the presence of ongoing Lok Sabha elections in India, actor and host Maniesh Paul got a chance to host an open conversation in the form of a podcast with none other than Maharastra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
Maniesh Paul is credited to host some well known personalities in the past including Prajakta Koli, Sushant Divgikar, Farah Khan, Anu Malik, Govinda, and more.
But the recent podcast with Maharashtra CM was quite special as the duo looked like to have engaged in an impressive conversation.
Maniesh Paul Hosts An Open Conversation On His Podcast With Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, Who Commits to Ensuring Mumbai Becomes Free of Potholes
A number of interesting situations happened during the podcast. One memorable moment came when Maniesh Paul asked the CM regarding his childhood dreams and also if he actually wanted to become a Chief Minister.
Paul also asked Shinde if he got the inspiration from Bollywood movie Nayak that features how a common man works hard to rise to the position of a CM.
This is what the CM has to say, “Film film hai, reality reality hai aur kuch bhi nahi (As films inspire, reality is reality and nothing else).
During the conversation, Shinde revealed how his political journey took the shape right from the grassroot level. During his entire career, he only focused towards his own hard work, dedication towards his goal. He believes in diligent effort and commitment to achieving his goals.
In the later part of the conversation, Maniesh posted a question where he gave insights about comparing reel life with real life.
He was referring to Bollywood film Nayak where Anil Kapoor took charge of a Chief Minister. Later, the actor and host commended the work of CM including his efforts to personally investigate the water-logging areas in Mumbai and more.
The podcast also touched upon some more issues in Mumbai like the conditions of roads. He asked the CM when the city is going to become pothole-free.
In his response, the CM stated that though he was a part of the cabinet, he was not appointed as CM. People already know who used to take care of all such works in the BMC. But after he became CM, he personally called the commissioner and asked him, ‘Every monsoon people have to face potholes. How much has been spent in the last 10-15 years for repair work on the roads before monsoon?’ He said Rs 3500 cr”.
