Judy Greer Signs On for Rob Burnett’s Upcoming Film In Memoriam

Judy Greer has signed on for Rob Burnett’s comedy In Memoriam, which is slated to begin filming this week in Los Angeles, as reported.

Judy Greer is set to star in Rob Burnett’s comedy In Memoriam, which he also wrote. Filming is scheduled to begin this week in Los Angeles.

The story revolves around an experienced Hollywood actor, portrayed by Marc Maron, who, upon learning he has terminal cancer, becomes determined to secure a spot in the Oscars’ ‘In Memoriam’ segment.

The film In Memoriam is being produced by Nicholas Weinstock and Divya D’Souza of Invention Studios, with Maron, Burnett, and David Martin from Avalon also on board as producers. Judy Greer recently finished filming Lionsgate’s adaptation of Stephen King’s novel

The Long Walk and wrapped up work on Jason Keller’s golf-themed comedy series for Apple TV+, which stars Owen Wilson. Her next appearance will be in the holiday family comedy The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, set to debut on November 8

She has been involved in numerous successful projects, including Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014) and its follow-up, War for the Planet of the Apes (2017), as well as Jurassic World (2015), Halloween (2018) and its sequel Halloween Kills (2021).

The actreess appeared in several films from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, such as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023), Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018), and Ant-Man (2015).

In 2017, she made her directorial debut with the comedy-drama A Happening of Monumental Proportions.

Now, Greer is set to join Season 2 of The Last Thing He Told Me, the sequel to the Apple series developed by Josh Singer, based on the bestselling novel by Laura Dave, with Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter serving as executive producers.
