Jessica Alba, the 43-year-old actress and entrepreneur, has spoken out in support of a crew member from Blue Origin’s latest high-profile, all-female space journey.
Facing a wave of criticism, Alba took to Instagram to repost political strategist Ana Navarro-Cardenas’ message, which urged the public to channel their criticism toward US President Donald Trump rather than targeting the spaceflight participants, according to ‘Female First UK’.

Ana Navarro-Cardenas shared her thoughts in a post, stating, “I’ve seen endless criticism of five women embarking on their space journey, and I can’t understand how it affects our lives.
I wish people would redirect that same passion and focus toward denouncing Trump’s abuses of power, which have a real impact on countless lives both in the U.S. and around the world.”
According to ‘Female First UK,’ Jessica Alba reposted the message with the caption “this.” The all-female crew aboard Blue Origin’s short 10-minute space flight included Amanda Nguyen, Aisha Bowe, producer Kerianne Flynn, Gayle King, singer Katy Perry, Jeff Bezos, and Lauren Sanchez.
After facing significant criticism, Gayle King recently defended the trip. When asked about the backlash, she told Extra, “I think it’s important to discuss it… because I used to feel the same way. Before I took the flight and learned more, I would question, ‘Why are we spending so much on space when there’s so much that needs attention on Earth?’ I was one of those people.”
Gayle further explained that her perspective shifted after she did some research on Blue Origin and learned about their mission. She stated, “Their goal is to find a way to take the waste here and send it into space to improve life on Earth.”
