Jaat First Reviews: Sunny Deol’s Performance Gets Rave Reviews in Gopichand Malineni’s Action-packed Return to the Big Screen
Jaat Early Reviews: After the massive success of Gadar 2, Sunny Deol returns to the big screen in an action-packed role.
Directed by Gopichand Malineni, with Randeep Hooda also starring. Initial feedback looks quite encouraging for the film.
Jaat Early Reviews: Reactions to Jaat
Trade analyst Sumit Kadel gave his take after catching an early screening, tweeting, “#Jaat Interval, totally entertaining up to this point. The iconic #SunnyDeol from the ’90s is back, and no one has showcased him like this in the past 15 years.
Film writer Amit Joshi took to Twitter after attending the Mumbai premiere of Jaat, saying, “I don’t usually tweet, but today’s an exception, just witnessed the premiere of #Jaat, and it’s a total game-changer, full of entertainment and worth every penny! If you’re a fan of classics like Ghayal, Damini, or Ghatak, this one takes it to a whole new level.
“Unfortunately, I couldn’t pay my respects to the legendary Dharmendra ji due to the packed house, but I had the privilege of directing him in my last film, #TeriBatoonMeinAisaUljhaJiya. His son, the ultimate action star @iamsunnydeol, truly owns the screen—what a performance!”
Actor Utkarsh Sharma shared his thoughts after watching Jaat, tweeting, “Watched #Jaat last night… what a thoroughly enjoyable experience! A must-watch for fans. Huge congratulations to Sunny sir and the team for delivering a mass entertainer.”
HT reviewer Rishabh Suri commented, “Jaat, starring Sunny Deol, Randeep Hooda, and Viineet Kumar Singh, feels like a well-crafted masala action film. It’s everything Salman Khan’s Sikandar might have hoped to achieve.”
Jaat First Review: Sunny Deol’s Jaat
The trailer for Sunny Deol’s upcoming film Jaat was released last month, showcasing his character, ‘JAAT,’ engaging in a fierce battle with the antagonist, portrayed by Randeep Hooda (Ranatunga). With this film, Sunny aims to captivate the South audience, after making a significant mark in the North.
In a powerful moment towards the end of the trailer, Sunny delivers the iconic line, “Ye dhai kilo ke haath ki taakat pura north dekh chuka hai. Ab south dekhega.” (“The north has already witnessed the strength of this two-and-a-half-kilo arm. Now, it’s time for the south to see it.”)
This memorable dialogue, first made famous in Damini, where Sunny won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1993, evokes a sense of nostalgia among fans.
Jaat, an action-packed thriller directed by Gopichand Malineni and produced by Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory, is scheduled to release on April 10 in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
In a recent interview with ANI, Randeep Hooda, who plays the villain Rana Tunga, discussed the meaning behind the film’s title. He said, “In this movie, Jaat isn’t just about a community or a character, it’s a feeling.
Jat people are celebrated for their patriotism, their commitment to justice, their boldness, and their fierce loyalty and love.
