Ibrahim Ali Khan, who made his debut in Naadaniyaan, has spoken out about the online backlash and the intense scrutiny that followed his first film’s release.
In a candid chat with Filmfare, the son of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh opened up about a recent controversy with a Pakistani journalist, sharing that he’s still learning to navigate public criticism.
Ibrahim Ali Khan Breaks Silence on Criticism Surrounding Naadaniyaan Debut
It all happened when a Pakistani journalist criticized Ibrahim’s performance and made personal jabs at his appearance, particularly targeting his nose.
In retaliation, Ibrahim allegedly sent the journalist a direct message on social media, containing a clear threat.
This is what he further elaborated the matter, “Tamur, who’s quite similar to Taimur… you took my brother’s name, but guess what? You don’t have his looks. You’re nothing but an ugly piece of trash.
Since you can’t keep your opinions to yourself, don’t bother—your words mean nothing, just like you. You’re a disgusting piece of garbage, and I feel sorry for you and your family. If I ever cross paths with you, I’ll make sure you leave looking worse than you do now—you pathetic scum.”
Ibrahim admitted to Filmfare, “I know I shouldn’t have reacted the way I did, but I’m still adjusting to the public eye.
When he made a personal comment about my body, it felt like an unnecessary jab. Moving forward, I’ll stay calm. I shouldn’t have reacted that way, and I promise it won’t happen again.”
Ibrahim’s debut in a leading role came with Naadaniyaan, which also stars Khushi Kapoor as the female lead, and the film received a mixed reaction. As he steps into the world of stardom, the young actor shows a clear commitment to his growth.
