Mehta reported that his daughter has been visiting the Aadhaar office in Andheri East repeatedly over the past three weeks. Despite her persistence, she has been turned away each time due to various excuses given by the senior manager.

“For the past three weeks, my daughter has been attempting to apply for an Aadhaar card. She makes the long journey to the Aadhaar office in Andheri East, enduring the rain and arriving early, but the senior manager keeps giving her different reasons to send her back: get this signed, bring this document, the stamp is in the wrong place, you don’t have an appointment today, I am on leave for a week…” he wrote

Mehta denounced the actions of the Aadhaar officials, labeling them as “deeply frustrating and tantamount to harassment.” His tweet quickly drew attention, with many users recounting similar experiences and expressing their support.

Hansal Mehta’s upcoming film, The Buckingham Murders, is set to release on September 13. Kareena Kapoor Khan stars in the role of detective Jass Bhamra
