South actor Dhanush and his wife Aishwarya Rajinikanth have announced to end their marriage after 18 years of togetherness.
It all happened when Dhanush took to his Twitter account to announce his separation from his wife Aishwarya. In his statement, he urged fans not to intervene and respect their privacy at this point of time.

This is what the actor chose to write while announcing separation from his wife Aishwarya, “18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well-wishers to each other The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting and adapting. Today we stand at a place where our paths separate… Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better. On thw work front, Dhanush is presently shooting for his upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual Sir. With this film, the Tamil actor is expected to mark his debut in Telugu film industry as well. Apart from Dhanush, Sir stars Samyuktha Menon as female lead.
Sir is currently being bankrolled in the association of Fortune Four Cinemas’ Sai Soujanya and Suryadevara Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments.
Dhanush was last featured in Aanand L Rai’s Atrangi Re opposite Sara Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar. He will next star in Maaran to be directed by Karthick Naren.
