Delhi High Court has dismissed the petition filed by Bollywood actress Juhi Chawla against the central government on 5G issue. The petition was filed against the rollout of 5G technology in India.

While hearing the petition, judges simply dismissed the case by calling it as “defective”.

The judge in his statement said that it was done to garner media attention.

Juhi Chawla, who’s also an environmentalist wanted the government to take back its decision to implementing 5G as it would become the cause of spreading radiation and therefore will produce some adverse effects on the lives of flora and fauna.

After the case was filed in the HC, it started moving towards the dead end.

It all happened when Justice J.R. Midha stated in his statement that Juhi Chawala’s move to file the case looks very shocking.

He also maintained and asked why she didn’t first move to the government before taking the matter in the court.

At the same time, Tushar Mehta, who’s the Solicitor General of the country appeared on behalf of the central government. He called the entire suit as frivolous.

In one of his statements, he asked her to show how the 5G technology was wrongful. He also called the entire suit as ill conceived litigation.

Juhi, in her petition sought a deep and meaningful scientific study from the central government before launching the 5G technology in India.

It’s because it can not only be harmful (due to its radiation) not only for human beings but also for plants.

The petition also stated that the government first needs to make efficient research and state whether the above technology will provide a safe environment to the people of the country.

It also expected the concerned authorities to involve some premiere institutions of India like Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, the Central Pollution Control Board and the Indian Council of Medical Research to properly conduct their own study.

Just before the court’s hearing, Juhi Chawla had shared a virtual link for people to join. But the court was disturbed by a fan who started singing one of her songs in the mid of the hearing.

Reacting to this, the court had to issue the contempt order and asked the police to trace the man behind this.
