Rajnikanth starrer Darbar despite registering a box office collection of Rs 250 crore is being tagged as flop.
The mega budget film Darbar largely disappointed fans and all those distributors who had invested their money but could not get in return what they had actually expected from the film.
As per the latest Bollywood news pouring in from various trade sources across the industry, the Tamil language action thriller has incurred huge losses as it could not impress the audience at large.
Looking at the situation, distributors have decided to go back and meet with Rajnikanth to compensate for their losses. They have planned to meet the South star at the latter’s residence over the weekend.
Currently, the situation is that all distributors like to meet Rajnikanth as they failed to get any reaction from Lyca Production (makers of Darbar).
To be precise, Darbar was made with a budget of Rs 200 crore that includes a salary of Rs 108 crore specifically for Rajnikanth. But the film proved a disastrous nightmare for makers as the film only managed to collect only Rs 250 crore worldwide.
The film stars Rajnikanth in the lead role where he is playing the role of an angry cop. The film marked Rajnikanth playing the role of a cop after 25 years.
Apart from Rajni, the film also stars Suniel Shetty, Yogi Babu, Prateik Babbar, Nayanthara and Nivetha Thomas in their pivotal roles.
Currently, Rajnikanth is shooting for his next assignment with director Siva.
