In one of the recent Bollywood news pouring in, senior film actor Amitabh Bachchan has bowed out to attend an award function that was specifically organised to felicitate him with the most prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award in Delhi due to the sudden fever.
And this is what the actor tweeted to announce yesterday through his tweet. This is what he posted, “I’m down with fever and is not allowed to travel. I won’t be able to attend the National Awards Ceremony to be held in Delhi tomorrow. So unfortunate..my regrets..”
As per a press release yesterday, the awards will be presented to the winners on Monday by the Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu at Vigyan Bhawan, Delhi. On this occasion, it is expected that Information and Broadcasting minister Prakash Javadekar will also grace the occasion.

On one of the earlier occasion, when the actor had to be felicitated with an award on the occasion of the 25th Kolkata International Film Festival, he could not join the function due to his illness. At the same time, he was even had to be admitted to the hospital for a few days.
It was only in August 2019 when the winners of the 66th National Film Awards were announced for all those who performed exceptionally well. Among the winners, it included the names of both Ayushmann Khuranna and Vicky Kaushal for their spectacular performances in Andhadhun and Uri: The Surgical Strike respectively.
