Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar and actress Sonam Kapoor attended the National Awards ceremony with their respective family members. Both the stars looked blissful to participate in the 64th National Awards ceremony.
Akshay has been chosen for his superlative performance in his film Rustom (in the category of best actor). However, the decision was criticized by some section of people who didn’t want the award to be given to Akshay Kumar. But it’s a part of life and you can’t please everyone with your profound efforts. The actor was looking cool in being a part of the great and mesmerizing award winning function, especially in the presence of his loving family members.

Akshay has already spent over two decades in the entertainment industry, but had never won a National Film award in the past. This is the first time has has been chosen to receive the most prestigious award from the president of India.
Akshay looked extremely excited and cheerful, well before the national awards ceremony held. The reason why we are saying this can be assumed after he floated the family picture on Twitter, where he looked extremely dignified in the presence of his beloved family members.
Before heading towards the national awards ceremony, Akshay shared his picture along with son Aarav and wife Twinkle Khanna. He captioned the image that said “an important day of my life along with the most important people of my life”.
It looked amazing as Akshay clicked the picture with son Aarav who normally feels reluctant to share the picture of his immediate family members. The picture looked perfect in every way in the presence of his wife and son.

Akshay chose to wear the dark brown ensemble along with a pink colored square that matched Twinkle’s Saree. No doubt, the entire event must have been a special one in the lives of the entire family. Akshay later tweeted, saying “no words can ever produce justice to the joy”. He later thanked for all the love.
Sonam Kapoor was also a special mention for her amazing acts in Neerja. The actress was seen wearing a special pistachio saree along with Kundan Jewellery. She was seen accompanied with her father Anil Kapoor, wearing a black colored bandgala and mother Sunita. Anil Kapoor took Instagram to post his thoughts. He wrote- “All dressed up to acompany Sonam Kapoor for the National Awards ceremony at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi”.
