The latest in the Astroworld killing has come out in the form of a lawsuit filed by the family of a 14 year old John Hilgert. Scott was sued by the family on Wednesday after Hilgert became victim of a suspected crowd surge at the Astroworld music concert.
As per lawsuit, the family demands immediate changes to be made at concerts that could be safer for fans. The changes suggested include better security system, assigned seating with more medical facilities.
This is what attorney Richard Mithoff stated in a statement to a news agency, “No one should die going to a concert.”
“The pain of our loss from our son John not making it home alive from an event such as this is intolerable,” Mr. Hilgert told Fox26. “He was a beautiful young man who simply wanted to enjoy his first concert event with friends, whom he treasured spending time with more than anything else.”
The attorney of the family is also representing a friend of Hilgert who was present that day but injured himself.
It all happened when a gush of crowd killed ten people and injured many others when Travis Scott was performing on stage. Due to this, Scott had to face huge criticism as he allowed the concert without bothering people who were struggling in the crowd. To this, the rapper says he was not aware of the severity of the situation.
After the killing happened at the Astroworld festival, Scott along with organizers have been targeted by multiple lawsuits.
