Within two weeks, it has delivered remarkable earnings, and as expected, the weekend has brought a substantial boost. Now, Dragon has officially been declared a super-hit at the Indian box office, becoming the second Tamil film of 2025 to achieve this milestone.

According to Sacnilk, Ashwath Marimuthu’s film garnered Rs 82.20 crores in its first two weeks. Over the third weekend, it brought in Rs 5.70 crores, raising its 16-day net total to Rs 87.90 crores at the Indian box office. With a reported budget of Rs 35 crores, the film has delivered outstanding returns.

According to Koimoi’s classification, a movie surpassing 150% ROI qualifies as a super-hit at the box office. As a result, the Pradeep Ranganathan starrer has officially secured super-hit status.
Madha Gaja Raja Continues to Dominate the Top Spot
Vishal’s Madha Gaja Raja became Kollywood’s first super-hit of 2025 and continues to lead with impressive returns. For those unaware, the film collected a remarkable Rs 48 crores net in India.
With a reported budget of Rs 15 crores, it secured an ROI of Rs 33.70 crores. When calculated, its return percentage stands at an impressive 224.66%.
For Dragon to surpass Madha Gaja Raja, it must reach a net collection of Rs 114 crores at the Indian box office. Whether it can outshine Vishal’s Tamil blockbuster in ROI remains to be seen.
