The 93rd annual ceremony of nominating the best films to Oscar 2021 is about to begin. As per the Motion Picture Arts and Sciences academy, a total of 366 films are eligible to participate at the above ceremony.

Soorarai Pottru is basically a biographical film produced by Suriya and Guneet Monga. The film revolves around Capt. Gopinath who’s the founder and chief of Air Deccan, a low cost airline in India launched to help the poor.

Today, the film has brought a moment of pride for itself as it has managed to enter into the Oscar 2021 race. The film has been nominated for Oscar in the category of best director, best actress and the best actor.

This year, a number of rules for Oscar 2021 have been changed. It’s basically done due to the Covid-19 pandemic devastated the the mankind.
