As the plot deepens further in The Amityville Horror, it goes more intense. One night, George and Kathy Lutz decide to go out and hire someone by the name Lisa, as a babysitter for their kids.

But after Lisa enters the house, she remembered to have given the task of babysitting by DeFeos in the past. Now, Lisa tells the couple about the murders that took place in the house earlier.

At this time, she prepares to go to Chelsea’s room who eventually tells her that she’s a bad babysitter and doesn’t know how to take care of the children. She even claims that Jodie has told her.

After listening all this, Lisa starts scolding Jodie as she was the one responsible for the loss of her job on the earlier occasion. Lisa was fired from the job of a baby sitter last time by DeFeo.

Now, Billy, who’s listening all this, dares her to proceed inside the closet (where Jodie was murdered).

Soon, she gets locked inside the closet. A few seconds later, Lisa herself encounters Jodie and begs her to free from her captivity.

Now, Lisa seems unable to bear all this and goes into a shock. Soon paramedics staff take her away. On her way to hospital, she confesses Kathie to have seen Jodie.

The Amityville Horror (2005 film) sees abrupt behavior from George

Now, the film The Amityville Horror goes more terrifying due to the continuation of paranormal activities.

At this time, George’s behavior towards Kathy and her children becomes more abrupt and insane. Kathy, now in a hope to settle down everything calls the local priest.

She only wants the priest, ‘Father Callaway’ (Philip Baker Hall) to bless their house and to prevent them from any such abnormal activities.

But, the priest doesn’t succeed preventing paranormal activities, but flees from the spot after encountering such incidences.

At this time, Kathy somehow manages to discover that the house originally belonged to someone by the name ‘Reverend Jeremiah Ketcham’.

He’s a preacher and responsible for all his evil actions during the 17th century that targeted Native Americans.

These evil actions are known to be the center cause of all such paranormal activities in the house.

Kathy already knows about George’s sudden and abrupt behavior owes to a more intense spiritual possession.

Eventually, George comes back to his senses and releases himself from the spiritual arrest. Finally, they leave the house and never returns.

As they leave, Jodie is seen screaming and standing alone in terror, but eventually pulled inside the floor by unknown and disembodied hands.
