Well, it all happened despite competing with Disney’s live-action remake of Lilo & Stitch, the Tom Cruise film brought in a strong $8 million from Thursday previews, the highest in the Mission: Impossible franchise, according to trade analyst Luiz Fernando.

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning’s preview collection was $2 million higher than 2018’s Fallout and $1 million more than Dead Reckoning Part One (2023). Their preview figures are shown below.

Receiving an A- from CinemaScore, the movie joins the ranks of MI3, Ghost Protocol, and Rogue Nation, slightly trailing behind Fallout and Dead Reckoning Part One, yet outperforming the original film and MI2, which earned B+ and B respectively.
The movie has been marked as ‘Fresh’ by critics on Rotten Tomatoes with a 79% rating, but audiences responded even better with a 92% score. On IMDb, it currently sits at 7.6 out of 10.
Total Global Earnings & Date of Release
Having opened earlier in multiple regions across the globe, the film generated notable overseas revenue, bringing its worldwide total to $6 million. The U.S. release occurred on May 23.
