Singer Mariah Carey is creating headlines these days as she’s expected to make a TV series with ‘Empire’ showrunner Lee Daniels who’s known to produce a movie titled ‘Precious’ released in 2009.

When asked about the details, the singer said that a musical was less likely as the audience is expected to see a television show instead.

The singer largely emphasized the very importance of the upcoming TV show by calling it “gritty, grimy, beautiful, specular and real”.

This is what she said, “I need it to be gritty, grimy and beautiful, spectacular and real!”

Mariah, in her book ‘We Belong Together’, she can be observed being incredibly frank about her life. She has also included a bitter episode of her life where she had to face abuse as a child.

This is what her memoir says, “By the time I was a toddler, I had developed the instincts to sense when violence was coming. As though I was smelling rain, I could tell when adult screaming had reached a certain pitch and velocity that meant I should take cover.”

While detailing about her upcoming TV show, Mariah Carey said that it’s going to be extremely difficult for her to resume the shooting for the TV show due to pandemic.

She said: “It’s so difficult now because of COVID and we don’t know what’s going on. First things first I wrote my memoir last year and now it’s coming out in paperback.”
