Fans must have been getting depressed after Jared Leto’s ‘Morbius’ was postponed due to COVID-19 cases surge. It means they need to wait somewhat longer to see the Oscar winner Jared Leto sharing screen space.

As per latest reports, ‘Morbius’ was earlier scheduled to release on January 28. But now, it has been postponed to April 2022. The makers decided to postpone the film’s release date due to the recent surge in the Omicron variant of the COVID-19 cases.

As per Variety, ‘Morbius’ will now release on April 1. The American superhero film features Leto as Michael Morbius who’s a a Nobel Prize-winning biochemist and tries to cure a rare blood related disorder using an experiment. The treatment combines the use of electroshock therapy and bats.

After the experiment, the results come out to be shocking as he develops vampiric abilities.

The report says that comics, Morbius: The Living Vampire decides to battle with Spider-Man on various occasions. But over the time, he becomes a hero.

The film is basically a spin-off that revolves on Spider-Man’s nemesis. It was previously scheduled for release in July 2020. The film has already been postponed several times due to COVID-19 pandemic.

It will also star Tyrese Gibson, Al Madrigal, Jared Harris, Adria Arjona and Matt Smith in their respective pivotal roles.
