The Box Office Faces A Mid-Week Slowdown
In a tactical decision, Kesari Chapter 2 sold tickets at a reduced price of Rs 99 on Tuesday.
Even with the competition, Jaat held its ground, earning 1.92 crores. However, on Day 14, Gopichand Malineni’s film saw a 32% decline in earnings, bringing in only 1.30 crores.
As its second week nears its end, Jaat is on track to accumulate roughly 20 crores in earnings over the past week.
The film has seen a sharp decline of almost 66% in revenue compared to its debut week. Nevertheless, despite strong competition, it has kept a relatively consistent performance at the box office.
After 14 days, the total earnings of Jaat are estimated to be around 80.30 crores net. Including taxes, the gross revenue stands at approximately 95.75 crores.
Will the 100 crore milestone be missed?
To stay on track, Jaat needs to consistently bring in over 1 crore each weekday. With no big films hitting theaters until Raid 2 and The Bhootnii release on May 1, 2025, it has an open stretch to gain momentum. Still, without a strong boost during its third weekend, reaching the 100 crore mark could slip out of reach.
Recovery of the Budget
Made on a reported budget of 100 crores, the action thriller has already recovered 80% of its costs. To reach the break-even point, it must maintain a consistent run at the box office.
