In Short:
- Patch 7.2 of Final Fantasy 14 will restore previous PvP Series rewards, as confirmed in the most recent Live Letter digest
- The rewards will return gradually through an exchange system, though it’s uncertain if they’ll be obtained using crystals or wolf marks
- Knowing that the rewards will be obtainable later should reduce the pressure on those who haven’t completed Series 7 yet
Over the years, Final Fantasy 14 fans have made numerous requests to Yoshi-P and his team, with one of the most frequent—aside from hats for Viera, being the return of PvP Series rewards.
This is understandable, as newer players or those just getting into PvP may find it frustrating to miss out on various armor sets, emotes, minions, and other rewards simply because they joined later.
Fortunately, players’ wishes are being granted, as the latest Live Letter digest confirmed that past PvP Series rewards will gradually return to Final Fantasy 14 with Patch 7.2. However, there was some initial confusion due to translation issues.
It was previously discussed in the last Live Letter, but the latest digest has now officially confirmed it will kick off in the very next patch.

As per thegamers, the only confirmed information is that these rewards will be available through an exchange system. However, it’s still uncertain whether they’ll require crystals or wolf marks, how quickly they’ll roll out, or which series will be included, leaving several details up in the air.
Still, it’s great news for newer players who now have a chance to claim the rewards they may have missed. Plus, those who haven’t finished Series 7 can feel more at ease, knowing they’ll have an opportunity to collect any missed a few items later on.
The final detail we’re waiting for is the exact launch date of Patch 7.2. Yoshi-P recently confirmed its title, Seekers of Eternity, and stated that it’s set to release in the month of March.
Additionally, new screenshots were revealed showcasing upcoming large-scale content, including Cosmic Exploration and Dawntrail’s field operation. Players also got a first look at the next set of Arcadion raids and main story quests.
An announcement for the second part of the Live Letter will likely come soon, especially with February winding down. That should finally reveal the exact release date for Patch 7.2. Until then, I’ll be scrambling to finish Series 7—once again leaving it until the last moment.
