Theaters have been buzzing ever since Final Destination: Bloodlines debuted on May 16. As the latest film in the beloved supernatural franchise, it’s already showing strong box office momentum. Let’s dive into the earnings.

The latest addition to the Final Destination franchise, Bloodlines, has hit the big screen as the sixth film in the series.

Early performance hints that it could match the success of the last two entries, both known for their stellar opening weekends.

Dominating the domestic box office, Final Destination: Bloodlines, a Warner Bros. and New Line production secured a major win during its debut weekend, outperforming other films in theaters.

Variety reports that Final Destination: Bloodlines, starring Kaitlyn Santa Juana, brought in $51 million at the domestic box office, based on early projections.

On a global scale, the film earned $102 million in its debut, breaking the franchise’s opening weekend record set back in 2009 by The Final Destination, which had collected $27 million.

This weekend proved successful for Warner Bros., with both Sinners and A Minecraft Movie drawing audiences. Sinners, now in its fifth weekend, grossed another $15.4 million, lifting its worldwide total to $316 million.

The global revenue of A Minecraft Movie climbed to $928 million after pulling in $5.9 million more this weekend. It’s Warner Bros.’ third hit in a row, bouncing back from recent flops like Joker: Folie à Deux, The Alto Knights, and Mickey 17.

Hurry Up Tomorrow, a new film from Abel ‘The Weeknd’ Tesfaye, had a tough run at the domestic box office, earning $3.3 million and coming in sixth place.

Disney’s Thunderbolts, however, performed well in its third weekend, earning $16.5 million from 3,523 theaters, reports Variety.
