Justin Lin who’s a famous director is currently in talks for directing a film adaptation titled One Punch Man.
As per an update published in Variety, the project on which Justin Lin is about to work happens to be a famous Japanese web series created in the year 2009. The web series basically revolves around a character called Saitama who otherwise is a normal but unemployed man.
The film shows how this person gets transformed into a superhero. And once he attains the power of a superhero, nothing can beat him. In fact, he becomes so powerful that he has the ability to beat anyone with a single punch.
The wealth of Saitama in the form of his extraordinary power brings huge excitement in his own and lonely life. But soon, it makes him feel bored even after he saves the entire world from the hands of danger in one way or the other.
Justin Lin In Talks to Direct One Punch Man
The web series later depicts how Saitama joins Hero Association which hires him to fight evil. It’s done mainly to pose a real challenge in front of his boring life.
As per the update, Lin is expected to join aboard to direct the film anytime. He’s currently in talks with the makers. He looks all set to direct the film based on a screenplay that was earlier provided by Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg.
Both of them had previously worked on Venom and Jumanji: The Next Level.
The film will be produced by Ari Arad of Arad Productions. Well, if things go well, this will mark as Lin’s first direction after he left from Fast X (latest film in the Fast and Furious series) because of some creative differences.
