Drew Barrymore Says ‘Bridgerton’ Inspired Her to Reactivate Her Profile On A Dating App

Famous American actress and fame Drew Barrymore revealed in a Talk show that it was due to watching the Netflix romantic series Bridgerton, she forced to reactivate her dating profile.

Watching the Netflix show actually prompted her to take the decision of reactivating her dating profile that she had deleted.

Today, she excitingly narrates all that happened when she decided to reactivate her profile on the app. “I got back on a dating app during ‘Bridgerton.’ I was like, ‘I’m not dead. I’m not dead,”. This is what Barrymore had to share her life experience to TV series stars Phoebe Dynevor and Jean Page.

Berrymore further added, “For me, that was a big step,” Barrymore told the actors. In the latter half of 2020, she said.

The actress had deleted her profile on the dating app after she had to face her third divorce in the year 2016. This was the time when she simply removed her profile from the app thinking she would never want it any longer. But this is how it all happened.

 

Bridgerton is one of the remerging American period drama produced by Shonda Rhimes and directed by Chris Van Dusen.

The show actually revolves around the novel by Julia Quinn that was set during the Regency era. The series first premiered on Netflix on December 25, 2020.

Regé-Jean Page who stars in the show as Simon Bisset revealed that he had already asked her family to be aware of the love scenes aired on the show by typing a WhatsApp message. He disclosed how he alerted everyone about some of the shows that aired streamy moments.

But latter, he thanked to the tradition that he follows that actually helped his family to watch the show in high spirits.

“The Brits are very well-drilled for this as well,” Page said, saying that members of his family left the room to prepare tea in anticipation of episodes’ love scenes. “You just leave the room and put the kettle on.”

Ever since “Bridgerton” was first aired on December 25 2020, it crossed the viewership of 63 million households. As per Variety, the TV show has now become the 5th largest Netflix launch.
