As per the latest gaming news, A new Double Dragon game titled Double Dragon Revive is currently under development, bringing the series into 3D.

The above announcement was made in the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu in Japan. The game is known to have been developed by the studio that originally created Dragon Ball FighterZ.

It was further unleashed that the above game will include some special characters like Billy and Jimmy Lee, Abobo and Roper.

At the same time, it will also feature a few modern controls along with design elements intended to “faithfully reproduce the real thrill of the action” from the original series.

As per the details, the game is bound to include actions like stealing enemy weapons so that it doesn’t get monotonous.

The release of the game happens to be scheduled for 2025 and will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

 

It all happened in the year 1987 when the Double Dragon series came into existence in arcades. Yill date, the above franchise has had 25 different releases on various platforms. However, the Double Dragon 4 game was released in 2017 by maintaining the most sought 2D side-scrolling gameplay.
