Director Jagan Shakti chose to bring this moment forward on to the big screen. He actually helped to put forth the entire story in an entertaining way to make aware of the citizens of the country each and every aspect of the mission that took place in 2013.

Well, the story or plot of Mission Mangal revolves around ISRO’s dedicated and capable scientists Rakesh Dhawan (Akshay Kumar) and Tara Shinde (Vidya Balan). Both of them are given a punishment by transferring them on to the Mars project.
Everyone already knows that mission Mars is just next to impossible as the entire mission is not only difficult but is full of so many loopholes. And it’s not easy to get the success.
Due to the complexity of the mission, no one likes to invest money on the project. This is mainly because America has already failed this project for as many as 3 times in a row. Along with that, China has also made so many unsuccessful attempts.
In spite of all these challenges, the project was taken seriously by a team including Rakesh and Tara. Both of them finally makes their team and encourage them for the difficult mission Mars.
One of the special and interesting things about the mission is that it has to completed within the limited fund and half of the total time. It later shows a team of 5 trying to operate a satellite up to entering in the orbit of Mars. Everything was made entertaining to the audience so that they can enjoy watching the movie.
In the meantime, it also shows about their problems that they have to face while accomplishing the mission. The entire movie looks entertaining and gives the right knowledge as well.

Vidya Balan looks promising in the film till the end. Among the entire cast, Nitya Menon makes her debut from this film.
